All the excesses of Human behavior arises from the confusion of an upside down world and a spiritual amnesia.  Firstly, the ability to navigate life is exacerbated by the prevailing inability to discern that life on a planet Earth is set in a void (vanity).   All things that live on this planet invariably die.  This is what we get to look forward to.  Yet why? Why do things have to die? Why did God set the creation in vanity.

People live a lifetime accumulating wealth and fame, and yet at some point have to leave it here when they pass.  And then there are those that just live out their lives in obscurity and never accomplish anything. They just live and die.

Then there is the consideration will we pass on or pass away.  Will we go to a reward or will we incur a desperate sentence for our deeds?  All is vanity.

I just saw one of the most beautiful women of my era on TV (1960’s ) Brigitte Bardot.  She is in her early 70’s now.  When she was in her teens and then twenties there was not a more beautiful women.  Today, she is an deteriorating old lady.  Her beauty melting away with age.  But wow, in her day, what a knockout.  Why?  All is vanity.

The whole creation was subjected to vanity, not willingly but by reason of Him who also subjected it in Hope.  Rom 8: 20

Thank God he also subjected it in Hope.  But why did He first subject it to vanity?

If we can come to grips with turning the world right-side up to see that it is indeed a planet subjected to vanity, then we can untangle the confusion of thought and begin to get a grip on our true self.

This is the slow process of awakening spiritually.  As we begin to get a glimmer from our inner wheel (please if you have not already read, go to the blog the wheel within the wheel ) we can initiate in part the release of understanding that our outerwheel (earthly consciousness) consciousness dominates our mental processes and blinds from our inner wheel (true self) consciousness.  This is why most cannot discern that we live in a world that is subjected to vanity.

But as we come to accept the fact that we have been born into a prison environment and experience ( a world subject to vanity), we can then consider how to make our escape.  So, a recognition of this preset of human existence is paramount to transcending and overcoming our lower nature.  A lower nature that is part of the vanity set into all creation, and hence which overshadows and prevails over our mind.

But then, human reason tends to begin and formulate an argument accusing God of not being fair or kind or loving by doing such a thing.  Why, If He is love , is He so mean spirited, and subjected the whole creation to vanity? What is the point?

Does he enjoy watching people suffer.  Is He like the school boys who like to destroy an ant hill only to watch the ants in a frenzy try to rebuild their home.  Isn’t this akin to what we are watching with all the storms in the heartland of America today?  How macabre!  Is this the God who rules the universe.

Most likely the primitive tribes thought of Him this way and tried to appease Him with human sacrifices.  But the logic that would come to this kind of conclusion is flawed without first seeing that the preset ( whole creation subjected to vanity) of existence has a great deal to do with who we are and what we did.

The loss of our spiritual reason and the imprisonment on this island earth was set into motion by a great war in the heavens.  As far out as that sounds (remembering we reason with human logic not spiritual logic)  It is written in the Holy Scriptures Rev 12: 7   that there was war in heaven.  We are told very little about this war, but as we begin to emerge from the abyss of human consciousness and reason,  the Holy Spirit begins to put together for us the pieces of the puzzle of spiritual reality.

The war in heaven involved us.  And it was the causes for the war, and the war itself that set in motion God’s decision for subjecting the whole of creation to vanity, or futility.  Rom 8:20

The excesses of human behavior (ie. drug abuse, alcoholism, promiscuity, lusts, greed, fear, obesity you name it) can all be attributed to a misapprehension of who we are and the fact that the whole creation has been subjected to vanity or futility.

Coming…the cause of the war in Heaven(s)
