“But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery …for to us God revealed them by the Spirit…. Which things we also speak not in words taught by human wisdom,  but those taught by the Spirit combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words”.

One of the great deceptions of the mind is when spirituality is reduced to  moral codes.  The false assumption is that if you keep established wholesome codes of conduct then you are a spiritual person.  Morality then becomes the standard of spirituality. So, spirituality is turned upside down.  This is a human construct.  It’s not that moral codes are wrong it’s just that they do not make you more spiritual.  There are tons of moral people with little or no spirituality.  Being good is not being spiritual;  of course, neither is being bad. 

Because we live in a shadow world we tend to default to a conscious focus on the external world outside and impose the shadows (the constructs of the physical world) onto our interpretations, catagories and assumptions. 

Another good example of this is when men look to  current events,  and seek to align those events with Biblical prophecy.  Also, another good example taken from a well known prophecy book says,  (excerpted from Rev 9:7-9)

“ …. and the appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads, as it were, crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.  And they had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.  And they had breastplates like breatplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle.  And they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for five months.” Rev 9:7-10

an attempt to explain this highly spiritual language with a description of a modern day attack helocopter.  This yet another example of spiritual language, in this case Revelation 9: 7-10, being interpreted with a vis a vis human construction; a helocopter.  

But the fact of the matter is the earth bound mind cannot penetrate into the realm of the Spirit. 

“but a natural mind cannot accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised”                                                                               I Cor 2:14

Soooo,  those of a natural mind inclination would easily misunderstand the concept of the Sabbath,  and try to keep the Sabbath moralistically ( the shadow world understanding)  never comprehending that the Sabbath,  kept by those multitiudes today as only a day,  is a human shadow world construction that seldom,  at best, ever approaches the “spiritual reality”  of the Sabbath.

That isn’t to say that keeping a day is wrong,  it’s just that religously, or moralistically keeping a Sabbath day is not the spiritual intent nor meaning of the Sabbath.  At best keeping a day,a specific day,  is only metaphoric of the true “spiritual” Sabbath meaning.
